In 2016, I made a life-changing decision to pursue my dream of becoming an independent bottler (IB). With a passion for whisky and a desire to carve my own path in the industry, I embarked on a journey of research and exploration. It was during this time, in 2017, that I stumbled upon a remarkable little company called The Single Cask (TSC).

As I delved deeper into my research on IB's, TSC stood out. Their brand message resonated deeply with me, as they emphasized direct and honest communication. This level of transparency was something I admired and strived for in my own endeavors. Intrigued, due to this I initially reached out to TSC to buy casks and had the unexpected pleasure of meeting Ben Curtis, one of the founders of The Single Cask. I came just to buy casks for my company and ended up becoming part of the family.

From the moment we connected, it was as if we were two peas in a pod. Ben's passion for the craft and his genuine approach to business mirrored my own values. But it wasn't just Ben—everyone at TSC felt like family. The camaraderie and instant connection I experienced with the entire team were indescribable. It felt as though I had known them for a lifetime.

In 2018, not only did I begin my journey as a whisky IB with Scotch&Tattoos, I also became an importer and an active part of the TSC Family. This decision brought immense joy and pride to my heart. The Single Cask had become more than just a business partnership—it was a true brother- and sisterhood, based on mutual respect and a shared passion in sharing exceptional whisky with the world.

At the core of TSC lies a fundamental value: the belief in family and happiness. It goes beyond a mere work relationship; I have discovered a true home within the walls of TSC, surrounded by individuals who genuinely care for one another, just like a tight-knit family. While we undoubtedly put in the hard work required to run a successful business, we approach it together, with a down-to-earth and friendly demeanor. After all, we are a collective of whisky nerds, united by a shared passion. There's no need for pretenses or acting differently—here, we embrace authenticity and encourage each other to work diligently, have fun, and savor every moment of this incredible journey we're on.

To this day, I remain a happy and proud member of the TSC Family. Our bond transcends the boundaries of business, as we continue to foster an environment of honesty, trust, and genuine friendship. The Single Cask has not only helped me realize my dreams as an IB but has also enriched my life with a network of like-minded individuals who share my heart, morals, and values. Here at TSC it’s not just about ‘ unique spirits bottled one cask at a time’ but also the unique people behind the cask.
